Description

I am Brady Knight, a Saskatchewan criminal lawyer based in downtown Saskatoon. I defend people charged with criminal offences across the province, and impaired driving is one of the main areas of my practice.

Impaired driving defence in Saskatoon

A DUI charge can feel overwhelming, especially when your licence is suspended and your vehicle is impounded the same day. My job is to find the weaknesses in the Crown’s case. I challenge breathalyzer results, question how roadside suspensions were imposed, and look for constitutional violations, such as an unlawful stop, a delay in giving you access to a lawyer or a demand that was not properly made.

I also defend drug charges, assault and domestic violence allegations, theft, fraud and mischief, and I act at bail hearings. Clients have trusted me with appeals as well as trials.

Initial consultations are free. My fees are reasonable and often flat-rate, and payment plans are accepted. I am available 24/7 for people who have just been arrested.

My practice areas

  • Impaired Driving (DUI)
  • Breathalyzer and Roadside Suspension Challenges
  • Drug Offences
  • Assault and Domestic Violence
  • Theft, Fraud and Mischief
  • Bail Hearings

Where I help

My office is in the historic Drinkle Building No. 3, a short walk from Saskatoon Provincial Court and the Court of King’s Bench. I represent clients across Saskatchewan.

Charged with impaired driving in Saskatoon? Key facts

From Saskatchewan DUI Lawyers: in Saskatchewan, a Criminal Code impaired driving charge brings an immediate licence suspension that lasts until the charge is resolved in court, plus a vehicle impoundment. Drivers with a blood alcohol level of .04 to .08, and any driver affected by drugs, also face roadside suspensions and impoundment from SGI, and new drivers face zero tolerance. See Saskatchewan DUI penalties and our guide to Saskatchewan impaired driving laws. The province has also proposed new administrative penalties for drivers over .08, which are not yet law. A conviction for impaired driving, over 80 or refusal brings a fine, a driving prohibition and a criminal record, so speak with a lawyer early. Read about impaired driving charges in Saskatchewan.
